Ayodele Thomas Transfers from PSV to RB Leipzig

Ayodele Thomas has officially bid farewell to PSV and has signed with RB Leipzig. Both clubs confirmed the transfer through their online channels. The eighteen-year-old left winger has signed a contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until mid-2031.

PSV has officially lost Thomas to RB Leipzig, who had been pursuing the talented forward for some time. On the final day of the Dutch transfer window, they successfully secured the deal. In a statement from PSV, it was mentioned that a transfer fee was involved, though the exact amount remains undisclosed. Reports suggest that the fee is approximately €400,000. Thomas’ contract with PSV was set to expire at the end of this season, and there was little to no prospect of an extension.

Previously, Ajax had also shown interest in the speedy winger. However, they ultimately did not make a concrete offer. At that time, PSV was requesting a transfer fee of one million euros plus a ten percent sell-on clause, according to the German branch of Sky Sports. Additionally, it was reported that Thomas had already set his sights on a move to the Bundesliga.
