Bayer Leverkusen Secures Loan of Goalkeeper Jonas OmlinBayer Leverkusen Secures Loan of Goalkeeper Jonas Omlin

omidbasir- Bayer Leverkusen has confirmed the successful loan acquisition of goalkeeper Jonas Omlin from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

This decision was prompted by the injury of their first-choice goalkeeper, Mark Flekken, leaving the team reliant on backup Janis Blaswich. To address this situation, Leverkusen has secured Omlin’s services for the remainder of the season.

Omlin had previously lost his position as Gladbach’s starting goalkeeper due to the impressive emergence of Moritz Nicolas and his own struggles with injuries since joining from Montpellier in 2023.

In response to Omlin’s transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach has opted to recall goalkeeper Jan Olschowsky from his loan at Alemannia Aachen. The 24-year-old will serve as the backup to Nicolas, a position he previously occupied during the 2022/23 season when he was behind Omlin following Yann Sommer’s departure.

This season, Olschowsky has made 20 appearances for Aachen, who are currently sitting in 15th place in the 3.Liga.
