Bayer Leverkusen Seeks Loan Return for Eliesse Ben Seghir to AS MonacoBayer Leverkusen Seeks Loan Return for Eliesse Ben Seghir to AS Monaco

Stephan van Nocks, correspondent for Kicker Magazine covering Bayer Leverkusen, reports that the club is interested in loaning Eliesse Ben Seghir back to AS Monaco. The 20-year-old forward’s €32 million transfer has not yielded the expected results, largely due to ongoing publicized injury issues that have limited his contributions to the Bundesliga team.

Recently, Ben Seghir returned from international duty with Morocco, who hosted and reached the finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Although he managed to make an impression during the tournament, he sustained a new ankle injury.

Van Nocks indicates that AS Monaco is seeking clarification on the anticipated recovery timeline for Ben Seghir’s ankle injury. Should he receive medical clearance to resume play within a few weeks, Monaco appears willing to welcome him back on a six-month loan.
