Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are closely monitoring Nathan De Cat, the 17-year-old prodigy from Anderlecht, as a potential target for the upcoming summer transfer window. Additionally, Bayer Leverkusen has also expressed interest in the Belgian youth international, according to Patrick Berger of Sky Germany.

A move to the Bundesliga appears to be a distinct possibility for De Cat, who is currently valued at €7 million. Bayern Munich envisions the young talent as a possible long-term replacement for Leon Goretzka. The scouting team at Säbener Straße is expected to conduct thorough evaluations of De Cat, especially as he competes in the FIFA U17 World Cup in Qatar alongside Bayern prospect Wisdom Mike.

This season, De Cat has made 18 appearances for his Belgian Pro League team, contributing one goal and one assist. Berger adds that Borussia Dortmund has already initiated discussions with the player’s representatives. De Cat is under contract with Anderlecht until 2027.
