Bayern Munich May Part Ways with Sacha Boey This JanuaryBayern Munich May Part Ways with Sacha Boey This January

Sacha Boey has started five consecutive Bundesliga matches for Bayern Munich, but the recent return of Josip Stanišić has opened the door for the French defender’s potential departure during the January transfer window, contingent upon receiving a suitable offer. This information was shared in Sport Bild’s “Bayern Insider” Podcast.

Boey, who joined Bayern from Galatasaray in January 2024 for €30 million, has made only 37 appearances across all competitions. Should he leave the club, it is unlikely that Bayern will recoup the investment made in him.

With Stanišić’s return to fitness and Konrad Laimer providing valuable competition for both right and left-back positions, Boey’s playing time is expected to diminish further, especially with Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito also nearing their returns.

In October, Bayern’s Max Eberl openly acknowledged that Boey could have been sold during the summer transfer window had an attractive offer been presented: “We would have considered it if something had happened,” Eberl stated.

Marseille has previously expressed interest in signing Boey, adding another layer to the ongoing speculation surrounding his future at the club.
