Sport Bild reports that Bayern Munich is actively pursuing an extension of Michael Olise’s contract to mitigate any potential interest from Premier League clubs.

Olise’s existing contract at the Allianz Arena is set to last until 2029, which provides the club with a certain level of security regarding his immediate future.

However, the 24-year-old has frequently been associated with a return to the Premier League since his transfer 18 months ago. As such, Bayern intends to extend the winger’s contract beyond 2029 before the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada later this year.

Since his acquisition from Crystal Palace for €53 million in the summer of 2024, Olise has emerged as a standout performer. Over 83 appearances, the French international has accumulated 33 goals and 43 assists. Notably, he was awarded the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season last year.

This season, Olise is on track to surpass his previous statistics, having achieved 10 goals and 15 assists in just 18 Bundesliga matches. A highlight of his season thus far includes a remarkable performance against RB Leipzig, where he contributed three assists and one goal in a 5-1 victory.
