Betis Faces Demanding January ScheduleBetis Faces Demanding January Schedule

Real Betis is gearing up for a demanding January, with most of their fixtures located away from La Cartuja. The team will return to training tomorrow at 10:30 AM at their sports city to prepare for a rigorous month that kicks off with a visit to Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday, January 4. Their schedule features three competitions: LaLiga, the Copa del Rey, and the Europa League.

The start of 2026 will test the depth of the squad and the rotation capabilities that Manuel Pellegrini typically employs to maintain ambition across all fronts. Additionally, the team aims to improve their performances at the beginning of the year, having secured only one victory in five previous matches following the Christmas break under the Chilean’s management.

The green-and-white squad is set to play seven matches in total, with four of them currently scheduled away from home. The Copa del Rey’s round of 16 matches will take place between January 13-15, and Betis will find out their opponent on Wednesday, January 7, determining whether they will play at home or away.

On January 17, Pellegrini’s side will host Villarreal, a direct competitor for Champions League qualification, with only seven points separating Betis from the fourth-placed team. Additionally, Feyenoord will visit La Cartuja to conclude the month on January 29 in the Europa League.

The remaining fixtures, pending the draw for the Copa del Rey, will be played away, starting with the aforementioned match against Real Madrid to mark the new year. The team will then travel to Oviedo on January 10 (2:00 PM) before facing PAOK on January 22 (6:45 PM) and visiting Alavés in Vitoria shortly thereafter. This challenging calendar presents hurdles for a Betis side that refuses to back down.
