Betis Prepares for Upcoming Match Against OviedoBetis Prepares for Upcoming Match Against Oviedo

After yesterday’s closed training session, which was held without media presence, the Betis first team resumed their weekly training at the Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol, focusing on their upcoming visit to Carlos Tartiere this Saturday, where they will conclude the first half of the league against Oviedo.

The training session saw little change in personnel. Isco Alarcón remains sidelined following his surgery at the end of December. Bakambu, who was eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations with the Democratic Republic of Congo yesterday, has yet to return to Sevilla. Additionally, Amrabat and Abde are still participating in the African tournament with the Moroccan national team. These four absences have prompted the coach, known as ‘El Ingeniero’, to call up two youth players, Corralejo and Dani Pérez, to fill the gaps.

Chimy Ávila, whose future at Betis appears uncertain this winter transfer window amidst strong interest from Getafe, continues to train with the group as they await the resolution of Getafe’s salary cap issues with LaLiga. The team will train again tomorrow at 10:30 AM, and will hold their final session of the week on Friday before traveling to Asturias for the 19th matchday of the championship.
