Borussia Dortmund secured a dominant 3-0 victory over Werder Bremen during Matchday 17 of the Bundesliga, setting a new club record.

According to Opta, this match marked Dortmund’s sixth clean sheet at home this season in the Bundesliga, a league-leading achievement and a new club record following their first eight home matches.

With this win, Dortmund narrowed the gap to league leaders Bayern Munich to eight points, although Bayern will have the opportunity to extend their lead when they play on Wednesday. Notably, only Vincent Kompany’s team, who have played one additional home game this season, has accumulated more points on home soil in the 2025/26 campaign.

At the Westfalenstadion, Borussia Dortmund boasts an impressive record of six wins and two draws, having maintained three consecutive clean sheets against Hoffenheim, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Werder Bremen.

The season commenced with back-to-back clean sheets against Union Berlin and Wolfsburg, followed by a goal conceded against RB Leipzig. However, Dortmund rebounded with a clean sheet against 1. FC Köln before facing a setback by allowing three goals against Stuttgart.
