According to reports from Bild, Borussia Dortmund is exploring the possibility of a winter transfer for Jadon Sancho, who has encountered difficulties in his current stint at Aston Villa. The 25-year-old winger has managed only 336 minutes of play over eight appearances since his loan from Manchester United in the summer. Aston Villa is reportedly dissatisfied with his performance, leading them to contemplate the termination of his loan agreement in the upcoming winter transfer window. Dortmund is closely monitoring Sancho’s situation, assessing the feasibility of acquiring him at a reduced fee, especially since his contract with Manchester United expires next summer. The German club had previously shown interest in the English player during the summer transfer period, and this move could mark Sancho’s third return to Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund is in need of additional creative talent to support their struggling forward, Serhou Guirassy. The current roster lacks sufficient creativity, as demonstrated by their recent performances, particularly by players like Karim Adeyemi and Maximilian Beier. Should Sancho adapt to Niko Kovac’s tactical approach, he could introduce a much-needed dynamic to Dortmund’s attacking strategy.
