Borussia Dortmund has entered the competitive race to acquire 19-year-old attacker Rayan from Vasco da Gama.

As reported by ESPN, the Bundesliga club has shown interest and initiated preliminary discussions, but they face stiff competition from rivals Bayern Munich. Additionally, English Premier League side Crystal Palace, Portuguese club Porto, and Italian team Lazio have also been mentioned as interested parties in the young Brazilian talent.

However, negotiations may not be straightforward, as Vasco da Gama is unlikely to facilitate a transfer easily. Rayan is said to have a release clause of €80 million, though the Brazilian club may consider offers around €50 million. This fee may still be considered prohibitive for Borussia Dortmund, while it remains within reach for Bayern Munich.

Zenit St. Petersburg has also expressed interest and commenced negotiations to sign Rayan. Nevertheless, the Brazil youth international has reportedly indicated a preference against a move to Russia, favoring instead a transfer to a more prestigious league.

ESPN notes that Rayan, who scored 20 goals in 57 appearances across all competitions during the 2024/25 season, is in no hurry to leave his current club.
