According to reports from Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund has expressed interest in Quinten Timber, a midfielder currently playing for Feyenoord. Timber is open to a potential transfer to the Bundesliga club.

Timber’s contract with Feyenoord is set to expire next summer, and he appears likely to become available on a free transfer as he continues to decline contract renewal offers from the Dutch side.

Dortmund has taken steps to evaluate Timber, sending scouts to observe him during a recent Europa League match where Feyenoord faced Stuttgart and lost 2-0. Timber has indicated that he can “very well imagine” a move to Dortmund, known as die Schwarzgelben, in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite this interest, no final decision has been made regarding the signing of the 24-year-old midfielder. The ultimate choice will rest with head coach Niko Kovac, sporting director Sebastian Kehl, and sporting CEO Lars Ricken, who will determine whether to intensify their pursuit of Timber.

The potential addition of Timber could prove significant, particularly given the uncertain futures of Pascal Groß and Emre Can at Signal Iduna Park. His presence would introduce a younger dynamic to the midfield, providing a valuable upgrade alongside Felix Nmecha.
