According to Sport Bild (via @bvbnewsblog), Borussia Dortmund is currently hesitating regarding a transfer for Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb, citing the overall financial package as excessively burdensome.

Earlier reports suggested that Dortmund was nearing an agreement for the 22-year-old, but the situation has since evolved.

The primary concern for die Schwarzgelben is the high cost associated with the transfer. The anticipated loan would come with a €30 million buy option at its conclusion, and when factoring in salary and additional fees, the total expenditure could surpass €70 million.

While Dortmund has not entirely dismissed the possibility of signing Bobb, the likelihood of this transfer occurring in the near future appears slim.

Despite postponing the potential acquisition of Bobb, Niko Kovac’s squad still requires further reinforcements in their attacking lineup.

At times, the team has shown a lack of variety in their offensive strategies, often relying heavily on Karim Adeyemi and Maximilian Beier alongside Serhou Guirassy. The integration of a more creative attacker could significantly enhance their performance as the season progresses.
