According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund forwards Serhou Guirassy and Ramy Bensebaini will not be participating in international matches this week.

Neither player will travel to represent Guinea or Algeria, as both teams are scheduled to play friendly matches following the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Guinea is set to compete against Togo and Niger, while Algeria will face off against Zimbabwe and Saudi Arabia.

This two-week break is particularly beneficial for Guirassy, who sustained a minor injury during the previous international break. His performance has noticeably declined since then.

In Dortmund’s recent 1-1 draw with Hamburg, the 29-year-old managed only two touches within the opposition’s penalty area over the entire match—an insufficient statistic for a striker of his caliber.

Meanwhile, the absence of Bensebaini, combined with Emre Can’s recent return, suggests that Algeria may consider leveraging the services of Daniel Svesson, who has been heavily utilized in recent matches.
