Borussia Dortmund Pursues Contract Extension for Julian BrandtBorussia Dortmund Pursues Contract Extension for Julian Brandt

Borussia Dortmund is actively working on extending the contract of Julian Brandt, the 29-year-old playmaker, and has presented him with a new contract offer.

According to reports from Sky Germany, the club aims to renew Brandt’s contract while proposing a reduction in salary. The player is currently contemplating the offer, having neither accepted nor declined Dortmund’s latest proposal.

Both Sebastian Kehl and Niko Kovač support the idea of extending Brandt’s contract, especially given the noticeable improvement in his performance under Kovač’s management.

As one of the club’s vice captains, Brandt has demonstrated his value both as a starter and as a substitute. His recent impact was particularly highlighted during a match against Bayern Munich, where he made a significant contribution by scoring after coming off the bench.

With anticipated changes in the midfield over the next two transfer windows, including the likely departure of Sahil Özcan, Borussia Dortmund is also keeping an eye on Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber.
