Borussia Dortmund Pursues Contract Extension with Julian BrandtBorussia Dortmund Pursues Contract Extension with Julian Brandt

Borussia Dortmund is in ongoing discussions regarding a contract extension for Julian Brandt, the 29-year-old playmaker.

Reports from Sky Germany indicate that the club is keen to extend Brandt’s contract, albeit with a proposed reduction in salary. The player has received this offer but is still considering his options, having neither accepted nor declined Dortmund’s recent proposal.

Both Sebastian Kehl and Niko Kovač support the decision to extend Brandt’s contract, especially given the significant improvement in his performance under Kovač’s management.

As one of the club’s vice captains, Brandt has demonstrated his value, especially in recent matches, where he has made a notable impact coming off the bench, including scoring against Bayern Munich.

In light of anticipated changes in the midfield over the next two transfer windows, with Sahil Özcan likely to depart, Borussia Dortmund is also monitoring Feyenoord’s Quinten Timber.
