Fabrizio Romano reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach has successfully secured a deal to sign midfield talent Hugo Bolin from Malmö. This acquisition of the twice-capped Sweden international is a significant coup for the Bundesliga club on deadline day. With an estimated market value of €6 million, Bolin is recognized as the most valuable player in the Swedish top flight.

Initially, Mönchengladbach appeared to have concluded their January transfer activities, primarily due to their known budgetary constraints. However, following two minor sales—Charles Herrmann and Oscar Fraulo—the club’s sporting director, Rouven Schröder, and his administrative team found some financial flexibility.

At just 22 years old, Bolin has already amassed considerable experience in the Allsvenskan, having made 103 appearances in the Swedish top league. Throughout his career, he has scored 19 goals and provided nine assists, showcasing his potential and skill on the field.
