Bournemouth is close to finalizing a transfer for Vasco da Gama striker Rayan, with the deal valued at approximately £30.6 million.

The 19-year-old Brazilian talent is eager to make the leap to the Premier League to enhance his development, despite interest from various other European clubs.

Optimism is growing at the Vitality Stadium regarding securing Rayan as a successor to star forward Antoine Semenyo, who recently transferred to Manchester City for around £65 million.

If this transfer goes through, it will rank as Bournemouth’s second-largest acquisition, only behind the £32 million signing of fellow striker Evanilson from Porto in 2024.

Rayan, primarily a left-footed center-forward, is also capable of operating on either wing. Last season, he made a significant impact in the Brazilian top division, scoring 14 goals in 34 matches.

Bournemouth has been notably active during the winter transfer window, having recently signed Hungarian midfielder Alex Toth for £10.4 million from Ferencvaros. They are also in discussions to acquire Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas on an initial loan, with an obligation to buy.
