Brennan Johnson, who scored 11 goals in the Premier League last season, is currently weighing his options regarding a potential transfer to Crystal Palace. The south London club has reached a £35 million agreement to acquire the Tottenham forward.

According to BBC Sport, the Eagles have made significant progress in securing the Wales international’s services but opted to postpone any formal approach until after their Premier League clash with Tottenham on Sunday.

An agreement is now in place between the two clubs for Johnson’s move across London; however, the 24-year-old has yet to finalize his decision to join Crystal Palace.

Johnson is expected to engage in discussions about his future in the next 48 hours, amid interest from several other Premier League clubs.

Tottenham is actively seeking a new attacker this January, which could further diminish Johnson’s playing opportunities. Reports indicate that the club has shown interest in acquiring 19-year-old winger Yan Diomande from Red Bull Leipzig and 21-year-old Manchester City forward Savinho.

Earlier this month, BBC Sport revealed that Tottenham is open to selling Johnson, who was the club’s top scorer last season with 18 goals. He made a significant impact by scoring the decisive goal in the Europa League final against Manchester United in Bilbao last May, marking the end of the club’s 17-year trophy drought.

However, the recent managerial change from Ange Postecoglou to Thomas Frank has resulted in Johnson taking on a more peripheral role this season, making only six Premier League starts and failing to find the net since the opening two games.
