Camavinga Withdraws from National Team Due to InjuryCamavinga Withdraws from National Team Due to Injury

Eduardo Camavinga has officially withdrawn from the French national team training camp following an injury incurred during Real Madrid’s match against Rayo Vallecano. This injury has hindered his ability to train throughout the week, compelling coach Didier Deschamps to exclude him from the squad for the upcoming match against Azerbaijan.

With his national team commitments cut short, Camavinga will return to Madrid’s training facilities, where club medical staff will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of his condition. Although the severity of the injury remains uncertain, both the player and the club are optimistic about his recovery in time for Madrid’s next league encounter against Elche. Camavinga is now prioritizing rehabilitation, striving to return to competitive action as swiftly as possible.

Camavinga’s adaptability has been a significant advantage for Real Madrid; under previous coach Carlo Ancelotti, he has frequently filled roles in both midfield and left back. However, his recent injury history has raised concerns. In 2025 alone, he has experienced three injuries, including two hamstring issues, which have contributed to his increasing susceptibility to injuries. These recurring setbacks have disrupted his consistency and affected his performance during critical phases of the season.

Coach Deschamps has commented on the impact of these injuries, stating: “Unfortunately for him, he has injuries that prevent him from having consistency.” He further noted, “He also desires more playing time and wants to improve. If he could overcome his physical challenges, it would certainly enable him to achieve greater consistency both with Real Madrid and our national team.”

Real Madrid is currently grappling with an expanding injury crisis, with Camavinga’s latest setback exacerbating an already challenging situation. The squad is contending with multiple absences in key positions, placing substantial pressure on coach Xabi Alonso during this demanding period of the season. Aurelien Tchouameni remains sidelined due to a muscle injury and is not expected to return until late November. Additionally, young midfielder Franco Mastantuono has been diagnosed with pubalgia, prompting the club to implement a specialized physical conditioning program aimed at bolstering his injury resistance.

In the defense line, Dani Carvajal is managing a knee injury with an undetermined return date, and Alonso has acknowledged the challenges posed by his absence. Antonio Rudiger is also unavailable due to a muscle issue and is out indefinitely. Meanwhile, Federico Valverde has remained in Madrid during the international break to address his own fitness concerns. These various injuries leave Real Madrid with a fragile squad and limited options for rotation.

As he seeks to recover from this latest injury, Camavinga is determined to return to peak form. With Madrid holding a three-point lead at the top of the league standings, the club is focused on maintaining their advantage over rivals Barcelona. Camavinga aims to stay fit for the remainder of the 2025-26 season and secure his place in the French squad for the 2026 World Cup.
