Celta Reports Ristic’s Injury Ahead of Valencia Match

Celta Vigo announced on Monday that defender Ristic is experiencing a right hamstring overload/strain. As a result, he is undergoing limited training and is expected to be unavailable for the match against Valencia this Saturday.

This injury marks the ninth he has sustained since joining Celta two and a half years ago, with many of these injuries being muscular in nature. This season alone, he has faced three physical setbacks.

These recurring injuries have hindered his ability to achieve consistent performance, despite recovery periods not being excessively lengthy. So far this season, Ristic has played in only nine matches across all competitions, totaling 661 minutes on the field.

Consequently, the Serbian defender, whose contract expires in June, is virtually unable to renew his agreement with the Vigo club. His promising abilities are overshadowed by a lengthy injury history, which has limited him to just 36 official matches over two and a half years.
