As the competition progresses, Celta has seen a notable increase in goal scorers, with twelve players finding the back of the net this season. Under the guidance of Claudio Giráldez, the team has scored a total of 15 goals in La Liga, 9 in the Europa League, and 2 in the Copa del Rey, culminating in an impressive 26 goals across 17 official matches.

The leading scorer for the team is Borja Iglesias, who has netted seven goals. Following him are Pablo Durán with four goals and captain Iago Aspas with three. Additionally, Ferran Jutglà has contributed two goals, while Óscar Mingueza, Sergio Carreira, Javi Rueda, Hugo Álvarez, Miguel Román, Williot Swedberg, Damián, and Óscar Marcos each have one goal to their name. It’s noteworthy that Marcos, a player from the youth team, scored during the Copa del Rey. Furthermore, two opposing players have also scored own goals that benefited Celta.

It is significant to highlight that of the twelve goal scorers, nine have progressed through the club’s youth ranks, and eight are from Galicia, reinforcing the club’s commitment to nurturing local talent.

In comparison to the previous season, the team has scored three fewer goals in La Liga. However, recent matches have shown an improvement in scoring, with Celta having found the net in 16 of the 17 games played this season, the only exception being the opening league match against Getafe.
