Challenges Faced by Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid

Despite facing only two defeats, albeit against formidable rivals, Xabi Alonso’s position at Real Madrid has come under intense scrutiny. It has been suggested that he was brought in to rectify perceived issues with Ancelotti, particularly criticisms that Ancelotti appeared disengaged and allowed players too much freedom during training sessions.

This argument, however, lacks substantial merit and fails to withstand even a minimal level of scrutiny. The challenges Alonso faces are complex and cannot be attributed solely to the coaching style of his predecessor.
