Chelsea Women’s Football Head of Operations Paul Green Departures After 13 Years

omidbasir- Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the departure of Paul Green, who served as the Head of Women’s Football for 13 years.

Green joined Chelsea during the club’s early stages and was crucial in recruiting former manager Emma Hayes. He played a significant role in overseeing the team’s development throughout Hayes’ 12-year tenure, during which the club secured 19 titles, including eight league championships and six FA Cups.

In a club statement, Chelsea expressed, “His commitment, experience, and professionalism have been invaluable across the club, and his contributions have supported a sustained period of success.”

Recently, Chelsea experienced their first back-to-back losses, suffering a 5-1 defeat to Manchester City, followed by a 2-0 loss to Arsenal.

In a bid to strengthen their leadership, the club extended manager Sonia Bompastor’s contract until 2030, having previously been set to expire in 2028.

Sporting Directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley praised Bompastor, stating, “Her impact has been immediate and significant, and the standards she sets embody what we want this club to represent. Sonia is not only a key contributor to our current success but also integral to the long-term vision we are building.”
