Holder and Palmer reportedly first met at the age of 17, before they made their public appearance together during a luxury summer holiday last year. By the Christmas period in 2025, the pair were spotted at Winter Wonderland.

This outing came a year after Palmer had taken his ex, Connie Grace, on a similar trip, which occurred prior to their summer split. Recently, she was seen supporting the 23-year-old during Chelsea’s disappointing loss to Aston Villa.

Unfortunately for Palmer, the former Manchester City player was unable to halt Villa’s momentum, showing visible frustration when substituted in the 72nd minute. On this decision, head coach Enzo Maresca commented: “No, he was working very well. On the ball and off the ball, pressing – he was very good. We have another game in 48 hours, so he was good and we’re happy that he’s back.”

Chelsea initially showed promise, displaying a strong performance for the first 55 minutes before Villa rallied for a comeback victory. The Blues recorded an Expected Goals tally of just under two in the first half, while Villa had none. Maresca was quick to recognize this disparity, stating: “I think for one hour, until we conceded, we dominated the game. We were very good. Unfortunately, after that, the dynamic of the game changed a little bit. I think by the time they scored to make it 1-1, we should have scored two or three more.”

He continued, “If you analyze the first hour of the game, you are not talking about experience. But after that, we struggled with that. The changes they made – [Ollie] Watkins, [Amadou] Onana, and [Jadon] Sancho – improved them a little bit.”

Naturally, Villa manager Unai Emery was delighted with his team’s victory, especially after a challenging first half. An impressive brace from Ollie Watkins overturned Joao Pedro’s opener, extending Villa’s winning streak to 11 games across all competitions. Emery remarked: “We kept the same game plan we had in the first half, but they were playing fantastic. They were dominating. We were defending well and didn’t concede many corners, but we needed to be passionate and resilient. In the second half, we knew we could regain our momentum and control the game better than in the first half.”

He added that fresh legs and different players in the second half were crucial, emphasizing the significant impact each player had on the match’s outcome.

Chelsea’s defeat now leaves them 13 points behind league leaders Arsenal and 10 points adrift of Villa. Unless a miracle occurs, the Blues appear to be out of the Premier League title race, with their best hopes lying in cup competitions and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Regarding Villa’s upcoming match against league leaders Arsenal, Emery stated: “Of course, we are playing against Arsenal and our mentality is to compete strongly. We won’t discuss our league targets until matchday 34, as there are formidable teams like Liverpool and Chelsea contending for points. We are performing well, winning matches, and progressively improving, though we remain humble.”

However, he was clear that Villa is not in a title race with Arsenal or second-placed Manchester City: “No, 38 matches, not. If it finishes tomorrow, then this match against Arsenal concludes the league. There are still 20 matches to play.”
