Claudio Lotito, the president of Lazio, has expressed his disappointment regarding the rejections received from Giacomo Raspadori, who appears to be leaning towards a transfer to Roma, although no agreement has been finalized yet. During the celebrations marking the 126th anniversary of Lazio, Lotito did not hold back in his criticism of the Atletico player.

“We pursued two players who chose not to join us, what can I do?” Lotito began. When journalists inquired if he was referring to Raspadori, he responded dismissively: “But who is Raspadori? Is he Maradona? He hasn’t played at Atletico, nor has he performed at his previous club… Let’s see if our player is better than Raspadori.”

Currently, Lazio sits in ninth place in Serie A and has made several changes in the winter transfer market, selling Taty Castellanos to West Ham and Guendouzi to Fenerbahce. In return, they have acquired Ratkov from Salzburg and Kenneth Taylor from Ajax.

“At Lazio, we have a plan: we possess a scouting department that is unmatched by almost anyone in Italy,” Lotito emphasized.
