Concerns Arise Over Sesko s Injury Following Tottenham MatchConcerns Arise Over Sesko s Injury Following Tottenham Match

Benjamin Sesko entered as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham, but unfortunately, he limped off the field before the conclusion of the match due to a knee injury.

Following the game, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim expressed his concerns regarding Sesko’s fitness. He stated to reporters, “While his form is a concern, my primary worry is the injury, specifically because it involves the knee. We are uncertain about the extent of the injury, and we need Ben to be fit for our team. At this point, I have no further insights due to the nature of the injury.”

Subsequent tests indicate that the club is optimistic Sesko has avoided a serious injury and will recover quickly. However, it has been decided that he will not participate in the World Cup qualifiers for Slovenia against Kosovo and Sweden. Slovenia’s national team manager, Matjaz Kek, expressed his frustration over the situation, noting the lack of communication from Manchester United.

Kek remarked, “With all due respect to a prestigious club like Manchester United, we have yet to receive any official documentation regarding Ben’s condition. We would appreciate the opportunity for our medical team to evaluate him, as our doctor is quite experienced in this area. Although I cannot disclose specifics, I am in contact with Ben and am concerned about his wellbeing. The national team holds immense significance, and I expect due respect in these matters. Slovenia deserves this respect, irrespective of the stature of the opposing teams.”

Andraz Sporars, a fellow Slovenian player, also commented on Sesko’s absence, stating, “We are uncertain about the severity of Ben’s knee injury, but I hope it’s nothing serious, as his presence is vital for these upcoming matches. While I doubt he will join us, football is a team sport, and those of us on the field will strive to perform well.”

Sesko will now have the opportunity to recuperate before Manchester United resumes their campaign after the international break against Everton on Monday, November 24th. The 22-year-old striker has faced challenges in the Premier League, netting only two goals in 11 appearances for the Red Devils so far.

Amorim has encouraged his new signing to embrace the challenge of silencing critics at Old Trafford, while also acknowledging that Sesko may face difficulties during his tenure at the club. An injury setback will certainly complicate his efforts, but United hopes for a swift return to action for Sesko to start justifying his substantial transfer fee.
