Concerns Surrounding René Hake’s Role at Feyenoord

Feyenoord has appointed René Hake as the new assistant coach, yet there are growing concerns regarding his comfort and satisfaction within the club. According to the Algemeen Dagblad, Hake has consistently acquiesced to the decisions made by head coach Robin van Persie.

There are questions about Hake’s fit at De Kuip. Journalist Tijmen van Wissing from RTV Oost remarked during an episode of Voetbalpraat on ESPN, “We can observe that Hake is becoming less of himself on the bench. He increasingly retreats into his iPad. Hake desires to be taken seriously, a feeling he experienced at Manchester United, where he had the opportunity to lead many training sessions. However, that sense of respect seems to diminish for him at Feyenoord.”
