Controversy Surrounds Messi s MLS Cup Final as Model Claims HumiliationControversy Surrounds Messi s MLS Cup Final as Model Claims Humiliation

According to reports from The Sun, Roccuzzo, the wife of soccer star Lionel Messi, took measures to prevent model Cruz from attending the MLS Cup final between Inter Miami and the Vancouver Whitecaps. Messi led his team to a 3-1 victory, adding yet another trophy to his impressive collection. Cruz has previously faced rejection from Messi after allegedly sending him inappropriate messages on Instagram. After being unblocked by the football legend, she staged a provocative photo shoot, which has now led her to criticize Roccuzzo for restricting her access to Messi.

Cruz publicly stated that she felt “humiliated” by Roccuzzo’s request to keep her away from the final, which she reportedly communicated directly to the Miami staff. She has indicated that she has once again been blocked by Messi and his family on social media platforms.

In an interview with Extra, Cruz remarked, “I felt humiliated. No one should be banned from a public sporting event because of personal issues or disputes on social media.”

The self-proclaimed Messi super-fan, who has tattoos dedicated to the footballer in intimate areas, did not dismiss the possibility of confronting Messi’s family during the 2026 World Cup, which she plans to attend across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Cruz has previously shared videos of her getting Messi-themed tattoos.

Roccuzzo has often spoken about her relationship with Messi and their family’s dynamics, emphasizing her commitment to protecting their private life. In an interview with Grazia, she explained, “We love our routine. It’s very important for our family, the structure. We wake up really early, take the kids to school, and then I try to train at least five times a week. I manage my meetings or photoshoots while the kids are in school, followed by picking them up and attending their soccer and other activities. We are like a normal family.”

She continued, “It’s not just me. I feel like my family is my priority, and I always support my husband and family above everything else. He supports me too, and that’s how we want to build our family structure.”

Reflecting on their transition to life in America, Roccuzzo mentioned, “Coming from Paris, where the weather was cold and gray, this move has been an amazing experience. Our kids have always adapted easily, whether we were in Paris or now here.”

Messi is currently enjoying the off-season with Inter Miami but has set his sights on the upcoming World Cup, where Argentina will face Algeria, Austria, and Jordan in the group stages, before a match against Spain in the Finalissima, pitting the World Cup holders against the winners of the European Championship.
