Former footballer Gary Lineker expressed his views on Ratcliffe’s statements during the Rest is Football Podcast, pointing out the hypocrisy of Ratcliffe’s position. Lineker noted that Ratcliffe himself is an economic migrant residing in Monaco, questioning his right to criticize others without contributing to UK society through taxes. He remarked that many migrants contribute significantly to the economy and highlighted the disappointment expressed by Manchester United supporters regarding Ratcliffe’s remarks.
