omidbasir- On Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 17th goal for Al Nassr, contributing to a 3-0 victory over Al Kholood at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium in Buraydah, during matchday 18 of the Saudi Pro League.

With this goal, Ronaldo has drawn level with Mexican striker Julián Quiñones, who also netted his 17th goal for Al Qadsiah against Al Hilal on Thursday. Additionally, Ivan Toney, the former Brentford striker, leads the scoring race with 18 goals this season.

At 40 years old, Ronaldo has achieved the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot for two consecutive seasons and is now pursuing the remarkable milestone of 1,000 career goals, having reached 961 thus far.

Two minutes into the second half, fellow Portuguese player João Félix assisted Ronaldo from the left side of the penalty area, enabling Ronaldo to easily tap the ball into the net, past Argentine goalkeeper Juan Pablo Cozzani.

Shortly thereafter, in the 53rd minute, French central defender Mohamed Simakan extended Al Nassr’s advantage to 2-0. Al Kholood’s midfielder Hatan Bahbri was subsequently sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the 27th minute, leaving his team with ten players.

Immediately following the scoring, Aiman Yahya replaced Ronaldo on the field.

The two teams had previously met on September 14, 2025, at Al-Awwal Park, where Al Nassr secured a 2-0 victory with goals from Iñigo Martínez and Sadio Mané. Notably, Al Nassr has never lost to Al Kholood in any official match.

Currently, Al Nassr is on a three-game winning streak, aiming to continue their success after experiencing three losses and one draw prior to this run. They now sit third in the league table with 40 points, trailing leaders Al Hilal by six points, yet still holding a game in hand. Each team will compete in a total of 34 matches this season.
