omidbasir- Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to action for Al-Nassr on Saturday after missing three matches due to uncertainties surrounding his future at the Saudi Arabian football club.

The 41-year-old forward had expressed dissatisfaction with the club’s management, which operates under Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). In response to these concerns, the Saudi Pro League issued a statement emphasizing that no individual, regardless of their significance, is allowed to make decisions beyond their own club.

Ronaldo will lead his team as captain in the upcoming game against Al-Fateh, marking his return to the field. The club, currently positioned third in the league, teased his comeback through a social media post showcasing the captain’s armband placed beside his jersey in the dressing room.

Since joining Al-Nassr in December 2022, shortly after mutually terminating his contract with Manchester United, Ronaldo has become the highest-paid player in football history, earning an annual salary of £177 million. However, the club has only secured the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup during his tenure.

Sources from BBC Sport indicate that Ronaldo’s frustration has been exacerbated by the recent transfer of his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema to league leaders Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad.
