omidbasir- Al Nassr continued their impeccable start to the Saudi Pro League season with an impressive 4-1 victory over Al Khaleej on Sunday. This notable win featured goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and several other high-profile signings from the club.

With João Félix and Sadio Mané already contributing to the scoreline, Ronaldo sealed the victory in the 96th minute with a remarkable display of athleticism. Defying age and physical limitations, the 40-year-old superstar executed a stunning overhead kick that further emphasized Al Nassr’s dominance.

Despite Al Khaleej goalkeeper Anthony Moris getting both hands to the ball, he was unable to prevent it from crossing the line. This goal marked the 954th of Ronaldo’s illustrious career, ensuring that Al Nassr has won all nine of their opening league fixtures and placing them four points ahead at the top of the table.

This latest acrobatic goal stands as the fourth overhead kick in Ronaldo’s extensive repertoire. Among his most memorable efforts was a spectacular strike during a Euro 2008 qualifier against Azerbaijan on October 7, 2006. In that match, Ronaldo executed a bicycle kick that struck the underside of the crossbar, though it was disallowed due to a lack of goal-line technology, despite the ball clearly crossing the line.

Notably, while not classified as an “overhead” kick due to the angle of his body, Ronaldo’s exquisite scissor kick opened the scoring in a 5-1 victory against the Faroe Islands during a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

A year before his recent exploits in the Saudi league, Ronaldo scored two goals in a 5-1 triumph over Poland in the UEFA Nations League, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess with a leaping volley that found its mark from close range.

The crowning moment of his overhead kick achievements, however, came during the 2017-18 Champions League. In a quarterfinal match against Juventus, Ronaldo scored a breathtaking overhead kick, propelling his team to a 3-0 first-leg victory. That goal, a stunning display of skill, was later awarded ‘Goal of the Tournament’ by UEFA.
