Cristiano Ronaldo’s Luxurious Villa: A Future Wedding Venue?

Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, acquired a plot of land in September 2022 with plans to build a house intended for his retirement from professional football.

Located in the Quinta da Marinha region of Cascais, Portugal, the villa has been completed and features an array of lavish amenities, including an underground parking garage, a gym, both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a massage room, a playground for his five children, and a private beach. The property is adorned with gold fixtures, Italian marble, and a uniquely designed Louis Vuitton mural, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Despite customizing the villa to his personal taste, Portuguese media outlet V+ Fama suggests that Ronaldo may consider hosting his wedding to Georgina Rodriguez at the property. This would serve as an unexpected twist before potentially selling it.

Ronaldo, now 40 and currently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, has expressed concerns regarding the lack of privacy in the so-called ‘Portuguese Riviera.’ He has attempted to acquire adjacent land owned by The Ovitavos five-star hotel and a nearby golf course, but these efforts have been unsuccessful.

As a result, Ronaldo is contemplating abandoning the four-year project. Nevertheless, he is open to the idea of using the villa as a more intimate venue for the wedding. Reports indicate that the couple originally planned to marry at Funchal Cathedral, with the reception at a nearby hotel.

According to V+ Fama, the villa could host not only their wedding but also a housewarming and farewell celebration simultaneously. Ronaldo has an extensive property portfolio, including a £6 million ($8 million) penthouse in Lisbon, a house in Madeira, a mansion in Madrid from his time at Real Madrid, and a luxury residence in Turin acquired during his tenure at Juventus.

In a recent conversation with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo shared a heartfelt account of his proposal to Georgina, whom he first met while she worked at a Gucci store in Madrid. He recounted that it was around 1 a.m. when he presented her with the ring, and his daughters unexpectedly entered the room, prompting the moment he had been planning for.

Ronaldo explained, “I wasn’t prepared to get on one knee, but it was a beautiful moment, and I made a speech. I consider myself romantic in my own way.”

Regarding their wedding plans, Ronaldo noted that Georgina prefers intimate gatherings over extravagant parties. He expressed respect for her preferences, highlighting that she values sincerity over material aspects, stating, “She asked me if I was honest, and I said, ‘I want you and I want to marry you.’”

As Ronaldo prepares for a potential wedding with Georgina, emotions are expected to run high, with the possibility of utilizing their luxurious villa project before embarking on a new chapter in their lives.
