Cyril Ngonge will officially become a player for Espanyol in the coming hours. The Napoli striker, who is currently on loan at Torino, was present in the stands during Espanyol’s match against Alavés. He will arrive at RCDE Stadium on loan, a fact confirmed by Alan Pace, the president of the Catalan club. “He is at the stadium. We have high hopes for him. We must support the team in every way possible as we aim for a European spot, as there are opportunities,” Pace stated on DAZN prior to the match.

The loan agreement will include an option to purchase for approximately 15 million euros. At 25 years old, Ngonge has attracted interest from several clubs eager to secure his services.

Napoli acquired Ngonge after he made a notable impact at Hellas Verona, which was his first club in Italian football. However, he did not see much playing time with Napoli, leading the southern Italian club to send him on loan to Torino. During his tenure at Torino, where he has played a total of 20 matches, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
