Arnaut Danjuma reflected positively on Valencia’s performance despite their 2-1 loss to Betis. The forward deemed the result unfair and praised the team’s competitiveness throughout much of the match.

“We did not deserve to lose. We played well, competed effectively, and demonstrated resilience. In the first half, we were on top of them, and we needed to close out the game, but we failed to do so,” Danjuma explained in the club’s official media following the match.

The Dutch player also emphasized Valencia’s strong start, recalling the missed opportunities: “We began the match well, had a penalty that we didn’t convert, but then scored the first goal and continued to dominate. In that regard, I insist that the team remains confident after our recent performances: we came off two consecutive victories, and I believe we presented a good image.”

Beyond the result, the forward highlighted the collective momentum within the club. “We are in a good dynamic. The entire club believes in the coach, the coaching staff, and the project. Anyone who watched the match knows that the team is motivated, competes well, and creates chances,” he stated.

Finally, Danjuma made it clear that the squad is focused on their upcoming commitments, with a Copa del Rey fixture against Athletic and a crucial league match against Real Madrid, both to be held at Mestalla: “We are determined to win the next matches.”
