Dele Thomas Transfers from PSV to RB Leipzig

omidbasir- Dele Thomas is set to leave PSV Eindhoven immediately to join RB Leipzig. The 18-year-old winger had the option to remain in Eindhoven but has chosen the path offered by the German top club. PSV will receive a transfer fee for the young talent.

The news of Thomas’s departure from PSV was reported by Eindhovens Dagblad and has been confirmed by our transfer journalist, Mounir Boualin. Thomas had an expiring contract at PSV, which he opted not to extend. To avoid losing the Dutch player with Nigerian roots for free, he is now being sold. RB Leipzig is reportedly willing to pay around €400,000 for the winger, a sum that PSV finds acceptable.

Boualin notes that Thomas is well-regarded in Germany. After Eintracht Frankfurt previously expressed interest, Leipzig has now taken decisive action. “Eintracht is closely monitoring the Dutch market, having shown interest in Sean Steur (Ajax) and Ruud Nijstad (FC Twente). However, Thomas has opted for Leipzig, likely because they were more concrete in their approach.”
