Duje Caleta Car Apologizes for Red Card IncidentDuje Caleta Car Apologizes for Red Card Incident

omidbasir- Duje Caleta-Car has publicly apologized for the red card he received just before halftime during the match against Celta, following a severe tackle on Manu Fernández, who had to be substituted. The Croatian center-back left Real Sociedad with one fewer player for the entirety of the second half; however, this disadvantage did not affect the final score, as the txuriurdin managed to secure a victory, a fact he highlighted in his Instagram post.

Caleta-Car was one of the changes made by Pellegrino Matarazzo in his starting lineup compared to the previous weekend’s match against Barcelona. He was having a commendable performance until he ventured out of his position and, in an attempt to retain possession, committed a harsh foul. Initially penalized with a yellow card by Alberola Rojas, the VAR intervened, indicating that a red card was warranted, which led to his ejection from the game.

The Croatian international was quick to share his thoughts on the incident, stating, “I apologize for my red card; I am very proud of this team,” in his post on Instagram.
