Eintracht Frankfurt has officially secured the signing of highly promising forward Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab from the Hoffenheim reserves. Additionally, multiple credible German sports media outlets have reported that the club is on the verge of acquiring Nottingham Forest striker Arnaud Kalimuendo. The Hessian Bundesliga side is acting decisively to meet its needs for the January transfer window.

The 21-year-old attacker has made a significant impact this season with TSG II in the 3. Liga, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists, which has made him a coveted talent among various Bundesliga clubs during the current transfer window. Similarly, another lesser-known prospect with German-Moroccan heritage, Younes Ebnoutalib, has also attracted attention and will join Frankfurt as the leading scorer in the 2. Bundesliga.

Unlike the €10 million acquisition Ebnoutalib, Amaimouni-Echghouyab comes at a reported cost of €200,000 and is not anticipated to make an immediate contribution to the first team. He will require time to adjust from the 3. Liga to the Bundesliga level.

Florian Plettenberg has indicated that Eintracht has reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest for Kalimuendo on a loan deal that includes a purchase option. However, a medical examination for Kalimuendo is not scheduled until later this week, which may delay official confirmation of the transfer.

Frankfurt’s sporting director, Timmo Hardung, expressed confidence in Amaimouni-Echghouyab’s ability to adapt, stating, “We are aware that the jump across two leagues requires a certain amount of time to get up to speed, but we are confident that Ayoube will quickly adapt to the new demands through the time and support we will provide him. His dribbling skills, dynamism, and goal-scoring threat enhance our versatility on the offensive wing. His rapid development has attracted attention not only in Germany but also internationally. We are delighted that he has chosen to join us and embrace the clear plan we have presented to him.”

Hoffenheim’s development director, Frank Kramer, also commented on Amaimouni-Echghouyab’s exit, stating, “Ayoube has made great strides in his year and a half at TSG Hoffenheim. He arrived from a fifth-division club and has developed into a promising young professional within our U23 team. He has now opted against the long-term opportunities available at TSG and informed us after the first half of the season that he wishes to pursue a different path.”
