Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun Faces New Injury Setback

omidbasir- Eintracht Frankfurt has confirmed an injury setback for their star attacker, Can Uzun. The 20-year-old suffered another thigh muscle injury during Frankfurt’s recent Bundesliga defeat to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

While the club has not disclosed specific details regarding the duration of Uzun’s sidelining, a similar injury earlier this season had kept the Turkish international out for over a month. At the very least, it is expected that Uzun will miss the next two matches.

Since the beginning of 2026, Uzun has scored two goals and provided one assist in four appearances across all competitions. The Regensburg native appeared to regain his form for the first time since his impressive start to the current campaign.

Uzun set a new club record on the opening day and subsequently scored in six consecutive matches. However, his performance saw a significant decline after he netted his fifth goal of the season in September, with a long wait before scoring again in January. A prior thigh injury had sidelined him for the entirety of November.
