Erben Wennemars Advocates for Sarina Wiegman as Ajax’s Next Coach

Ajax is currently in search of a successor to John Heitinga. In a surprising move, former speed skater Erben Wennemars has proposed Sarina Wiegman as a potential candidate. This suggestion was made during his appearance on the program RTL Tonight.

Wennemars expressed his concerns about Ajax’s search for a new coach, noting that a recent list published by AD featured ten potential trainers, none of whom included Wiegman. He remarked, “I think to myself: the entire football world is one big opportunistic, selfish, cynical, conservative, and negative environment. This is precisely the issue within the football community.” He believes it is high time for Wiegman to take a position at Ajax, stating, “It needs to happen at some point. The only genuine solution is Sarina Wiegman.”
