Espanyol continues to make significant changes within its roster. Following the announcement on Thursday regarding Javi Hernández’s loan to Mirandés, the focus has now shifted to Luca Koleosho. The Italian international joined Espanyol last summer on loan from Burnley but has struggled to secure playing time this season. As a result, the club has opted to terminate his loan agreement, allowing him to seek opportunities elsewhere.

Luca Koleosho will now continue his career at Paris FC, where he will be on loan from Burnley until the end of the current season. The Parisian club has been granted an option to purchase the 21-year-old winger, should they wish to make the transfer permanent at the conclusion of the season. Koleosho, who was born in the United States, has been one of the disappointments for Espanyol this season, being the only new signing that has not met expectations.

Despite the initial excitement surrounding his arrival, as he represented a return of a product from the Dani Jarque academy, his involvement with the first team has been minimal. Under the management of Manolo González, Koleosho has only played 60 minutes in La Liga this season, with his last appearance occurring three months ago during a match against Betis at the RCDE Stadium.

With this loan move, Koleosho’s tenure at Espanyol comes to a definitive close. The club has now moved on two players in this transfer window – Javi Hernández and Koleosho – and there are indications that Antoniu Roca may be the next to depart, potentially joining UD Las Palmas under the guidance of Luis García.
