Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been charged with misconduct by the English Football Association (FA) following an incident in which he allegedly spat at or in the direction of Leeds United supporters last month. The allegation pertains to an occurrence in the 67th minute of the Clarets’ 2-0 victory over Leeds at Turf Moor on October 18. At the time of the alleged incident, Mejbri was on the substitutes’ bench, but he later entered the match in the 83rd minute and received a yellow card after a confrontation with Leeds defender Gabriel Gudmundsson.
