Fábio Vieira Reflects on Loan at Hamburg and Future Prospects

omidbasir- Fábio Vieira, 25, currently on loan from Arsenal, is having an impressive season at Hamburger SV, where he has netted two goals and provided four assists in 15 league appearances.

In an exclusive interview with Bild, Vieira was inquired about the possibility of remaining at HSV beyond the summer. He stated, “I don’t yet have any idea what will happen at the end of the season. My focus is on HSV, but I have a contract with Arsenal until 2027, and I will respect that.”

Hamburg holds a €20 million purchase option for Vieira, but the club is considering renegotiating the terms with Arsenal to potentially reduce the fee. Should coach Merlin Polzin’s squad manage to avoid relegation, Vieira’s tenure at HSV might be extended.

“Staying in Hamburg is one of the options,” Vieira mentioned. “I really like the city; it’s very beautiful, and there is a large Portuguese community here. Whenever I crave Portuguese culture or cuisine, I simply visit the Portuguese quarter. This helps me feel right at home in the city.”
