FC Köln Secures Loan of Bayern Munich Talent Felipe Chavez

FC Köln has officially confirmed the loan signing of Felipe Chavez from Bayern Munich, a move that has been widely reported by major German football media. The agreement includes a purchase option for the talented young player, who is valued at €800,000. Bayern Munich, however, retains a buyback option.

Köln’s managing director, Thomas Kessler, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “He has a very interesting profile,” Kessler stated in a club announcement. “With his offensive skills, he provides us with additional variability in midfield. We are confident that we can offer him the optimal conditions to consistently develop his potential and advance further as a player. Our objective is to gradually acclimate him to the Bundesliga level and establish a solid foundation for his long-term success there.”

Bayern Munich’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, also commented on the move. “Felipe ‘Pippo’ Chávez is a young player who has attracted interest from several top clubs, and we at FC Bayern have a clear plan for his development,” Freund mentioned. “He will now gain regular Bundesliga experience at 1.
