Fede Gattoni Registered with Sevilla as He Seeks to Establish Himself

Fede Gattoni has officially been registered by Sevilla in LaLiga after completing the necessary procedures. The Argentine defender, wearing the number 22 jersey, now has the opportunity to prove himself to Matías Almeyda and find his place at Nervión, a challenge that has eluded him since his arrival. Monchi signed Gattoni in February 2023, but he did not join the club until the summer of the same year. In January 2024, he was loaned to Anderlecht for the remainder of the season, followed by another loan to River Plate in the summer of 2024, this time for a duration of a year and a half.

Almeyda is taking a fresh approach. “He is a player of the club. Given the absences of our central defenders, he will be considered for selection. I have known him since his arrival; I’ve been training him for less than a month. I am not aware of his previous experiences with other coaches, but I understand what he can become under my guidance. If there are players at the club, they should be utilized,” the coach stated during a press conference this afternoon.

So far, Gattoni’s contribution as a Sevilla player has been limited to just four appearances (two in LaLiga and two in the Copa del Rey), totaling 126 minutes of play and one goal, which he scored against Astorga, marking his last outing in a Sevilla shirt.
