Fer López Joins Vigo on Loan for the Season

Fer López has officially arrived in Vigo and is scheduled to undergo a medical examination on Monday, after which he will sign his loan agreement with the club for the remainder of the season. This move comes just six months after his transfer to Wolverhampton.

The talented player, who landed at Santiago Airport, has seen limited action in England, accumulating only 364 minutes across all competitions while his team struggles at the bottom of the Premier League with a mere 8 points.

López was a top priority for the club and coach Claudio Giráldez during the current winter transfer window, with negotiations extending over a month. Following the departures of Damián and Fran Beltrán, the club has created the necessary roster space to register him.

In reference to López’s impending arrival, Giráldez remarked on Saturday: “Fer provides me with reassurance as he adapts easily. He can play as a central midfielder, interior, or winger; he possesses the versatility to play high or deep, and he is capable of both constructing plays and finishing them. He offers many of the profiles we may require in this transfer market.”
