Feyenoord’s coach, Robin van Persie, has expressed strong disapproval regarding the threats directed at club director Dennis te Kloese following the online leak of his personal phone number. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the match against FC Utrecht, Van Persie addressed the situation, stating,

“I have strong feelings about this. Firstly, it is disrespectful towards Dennis. It reflects a short-term memory among many people. When Dennis took this role, the circumstances were not ideal. He has achieved significant goals as the club’s leader. Although we are currently facing a challenging phase, it is crucial that we maintain respect on a human level at all times.”

In a related commentary, Johan Derksen remarked on the situation, noting that the reactions to the threats seem somewhat exaggerated. Derksen shared his personal experiences, mentioning that he has also had his phone number made public in the past. “You get bombarded with calls from all sorts of idiots. After a while, you just go shopping, get a new number, and move on,” he quipped during an episode of ‘Vandaag Inside’. He added that one can eventually adapt to such disturbances.
