In discussions about the ideal lineup for Feyenoord, analysts from ESPN have formed their preferred starting eleven, advocating for a midfield comprising Sem Steijn, Quinten Timber, and Valente. However, Marciano Vink disagrees, stating, “I have Oussama Targhalline, and then Valente takes on his role from Groningen.” This approach is based on Valente’s previous performances where he often occupied the left flank, resembling an advanced winger role.

Perhaps Stije Resink could fill Valente’s current position instead of Targhalline, as suggested by Vink? Recently, the Feyenoord player commented on an Instagram post from his former teammate, saying “Come Feye bro” (meaning “Come to Feyenoord, bro”). In response, Resink stated, “I am good friends with Lu. Of course, we played together last year, and I was on vacation with him and Thijmen. That situation escalated a bit, but there’s actually nothing substantial. I posted a few photos from our vacation, and then he commented, leading to all the speculation. I personally expect to remain at Groningen this month.”
