Analysts at ESPN have put together their preferred lineup for Feyenoord, with Bram van Polen and Teun de Boer advocating for a midfield that includes Sem Steijn, Quinten Timber, and Valente. Conversely, Marciano Vink disagrees, stating, “I prefer Oussama Targhalline, with Valente taking on his role from Groningen.” Valente has frequently played on the left flank at FC Groningen, where he functioned as a more advanced winger.

Regarding the current situation, perhaps Stije Resink could step in for Valente instead of Targhalline, as Vink suggested? Resink recently commented on an Instagram post from his former teammate, saying “Come to Feyenoord, bro” in reference to Valente. In response, Resink remarked, “I am good friends with Lu. We played together last year and even vacationed together with Thijmen. The situation has gained some attention, but there’s really nothing significant happening. I had posted a few photos from our vacation, and his comment caused the stir. For now, I intend to remain with Groningen this month.”
